When it comes to artifacts, stack Ultimate Recovery and Ally Max Health, with this build it's virtually impossible to die to any encounter in the game. My build in the end was of course a healer, with these 3 Plantmancer skills, my other two skills was the.(forgot class) attack that makes you Invisible. Plantmancer Area Heal is the best heal in the game. With this skill some fights are completely trivial as enemies can be charmed over and over, killing them without them being able to have a turn. Plantmancer Charm skill is one of the highest single target damage attacks in the game and it charms enemies making it probably the best normal attack ability in the game. Plantmancer Special is BY FAR the best special in the game. You can build the hero as a good single target damage dealer, but there are already multiple allies that can fulfil this role already. Capt Diabetes is the best tank because of his Protection gaining abilities. Diabetes doesn't have an Enrage skill, but this doesn't matter because in the only fights that matter, the bosses are immune to Enrage anyway, or use AOE attacks) So IMHO Enrage Block is kinda pointless.
You can't build the hero as a better tank than Captain Diabetes. I tried out quite a few builds and to be honest I feel like the main hero is by far best as a healer, no ally character even comes remotely close to Buttlord as a healer. Morgan Freeman is the only fight where build matters.
I'm not so sure that every build is viable, maybe for most of the game - but for Morgan Freeman I haven't found a build that can do it without at least having Plantmancer Special. I just went with what's the most efficient. The game is quite easy even on the hardest difficulty so you really can't go wrong. Token is a too situational to be a good tank. Diabetes) is also very good but he doesn't have the valuable taunt that Wendy and Craig have. I run Craig for the second tank because you get an artifact later on that boosts both Tweek and Craig's effectiveness. Tweek is the best ranged character with his turn canceling ice attack but he lacks immediate burst. I always run two tanks (Wendy, Scott, Craig, Token) and a secondary ranged healer (Kyle, Stan, Tweek). He does no damage but my team never gets close to dying. Personally, my New Kid has Psychic shield, Elementalist single target heal, Plantmancer area heal, and Psychic super. Morgan Freeman won't fight you if you're black and you also get a special artifact from him half way through the game.Įvery class is viable. They change up the dialogue before you fight the rednecks and that's about it. Stuff on your character sheet are just for fun.
